Bill was born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago, where he began playing piano in the 5th grade.
In 1982 he and a few friends formed a band called “Natural State”. The bands local success went well throughout the years, while switching bass players and drummers. The lead singer left the band around 1987 and a new lead singer was found. The new formed group changed their name to “Maybe Definitely.” Maybe Definitely had a high success rate playing throughout the country, notably at CBGB’s in New York, China Club and other high profile clubs in several states. Never being signed to a record deal, Bill left the band in 1994 and committed his time more to his personal life as well as working a full time job. During that time Bill never left the piano far behind. He continued to play in a Duo group and enjoyed the experience of 2 man gigs.
In 2013, Bill decided to take a leap of faith at playing solo performances and improving his vocal skills, which brings him to where he is today.
Bill has 2 children from a previous marriage.
The music Bill plays are songs that have stayed near and dear to him over the years.
He takes the songs he likes and converts them to piano only formats, in his own style. Some of his influences are Jethro Tull, Neil Young, Elton John, The Eagles, and Bob Seeger, while also adding some current tunes to his sets. There really is no rule on what he will learn and play. He also plays a few tunes from his Maybe Definitely days and a few tunes from other local bands that he played with in the 90’s.
